After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Install and deploy Exchange Server 2010.
  • Configure Mailbox servers and mailbox server components.
  • Manage recipient objects.
  • Configure the Client Access server role.
  • Manage message transport.
  • Configure the secure flow of messages between the Exchange Server organization and the Internet.
  • Implement a high availability solution for Mailbox servers and other server roles.
  • Plan and implement backup and restore for the server roles.
  • Plan and configure messaging policy and compliance.
  • Configure Exchange Server permissions and security for internal and external access.
  • Monitor and maintain the messaging system.
  • Transition an Exchange Server 2003 or Exchange Server 2007 organization to Exchange Server 2010.
  • Configure the Unified Messaging Server role and Unified Messaging components.
  • Implement high availability across multiple sites and implement Federated Sharing.

I partecipanti a questo corso dovrebbero possedere almento 3 anni di esperienza in amministrazione di reti, help desk o gestione di sistemi. Non è necessaria una precedente esperienza di Exchange Server. Devono inoltre possedere le competenze seguenti:

  • Tecnologie di rete, incluso Domain Name System (DNS), e di firewall.
  • Esperienza nell’amministrazione di Windows Server 2003 e Microsoft Windows Server 2008.
  • Esperienza nella gestione di Active Directory in Windows Server 2003 o Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) in Windows Server 2008.
  • Esperienza nella gestione di backup e restore con Windows Server.
  • Esperienza nell’utilizzo di strumenti di gestione di Windows e di strumenti di monitoraggio quali Microsoft Management Console, Active Directory Users and Computers, Performance Monitor, Event Viewer e Internet Information Services (IIS) Administrator.
  • Esperienza nell’uso di strumenti Windows per la gestione ed il troubleshooting quali Network Monitor, Telnet e NSLookup.
  • Conoscenze basilari relative a certificati e Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  • Conoscenza basilare di Windows Mobile.
